Can you imagine taking a walk along the beach and not enjoying all there is to experience and see? What if you decided to walk the beach and only focused on the outcome, where you will end up or how long it will take you to get there. Does that sound fun? Imagine walking & not seeing the ocean waves & the blue sky, or picking up seashells – imagine not CELEBRATING all of the wonderful things you can experience along your walk on the beach.
What about your fitness journey? Are you only focused on the outcome? How long it will take you to get there? Are you CELEBRATING all the wonderful things you experience on your journey?
Chew on that for a moment.
Your fitness journey should not be in the form of punishment. It should be like a walk on the beach, with many things to experience and celebrate along the way.
This week client feedback has been wonderful - TWO clients have told me they get up off the floor so much easier since they started training - no more huffing and grabbing onto something, they can just upsey daisy and go from down to up - THAT is a reason to CELEBRATE - Another client mentioned how her family was moving their outdoor furniture inside, and she was literally tossing the chairs over her shoulders and carrying them into her basement with NO EFFORT, how awesome is that? CELEBRATION!!!
Week after week I hear clients talk about how becoming stronger, more balanced & flexible carries over into their LIFE by making daily tasks EASIER. THAT is a cause for CELEBRATION!!
I KNOW there are speedbumps along the way, and just like walking the beach, sometimes you have to stop, go around, sometimes you even fall down (ever step into one of those HUGE holes the kids dig at the beach?), but along with speedbumps, there are SO MANY small victories that are special and unique to you, and it would be just shameful to miss them because you are only focused on the end of your path.
If you train with me, you KNOW I celebrate ALL of your victories, love hearing about them and I am honored to be on your journey with you – PLEASE be sure to celebrate these yourself as well, savor them, put them in your scrapbook to look back upon with pride. YOU are worth the celebration!
